Mobile tyre service, punctures and wheel changes

Mobile tyre service and flat-tyre assistance in Bucharest, Ilfov and on routes towards the coast or mountains

A flat tyre, low pressure, seized wheel bolts, a missing spare or a seasonal wheel change can all require help at the vehicle location. We receive the request and try to route it to a suitable mobile provider or workshop according to location, safety, wheel type, tyre size and required work.

Send the exact location, direction of travel, make and model, tyre size, photographs, spare-wheel availability and locking-wheel-nut information. The provider confirms attendance, equipment, temporary or permanent solution, price and estimated timing.

Prestari Servicii coordinates the request and contact. It does not promise immediate attendance, repair of every tyre or work in an unsafe location.

This page is part of the mobile car services in Bucharest and Ilfov hub.

24/7 REQUEST HANDLING

A request can be submitted at any time, but 24-hour intake does not mean a team is immediately available everywhere.

Provide:

  • exact location or approximate kilometre
  • direction of travel
  • whether the vehicle is in a safe position
  • make, model and year
  • passenger car, SUV or light commercial vehicle
  • tyre size
  • what happened
  • whether the tyre retains pressure
  • whether a spare wheel is present
  • whether the spare is inflated
  • jack and wheel-wrench availability
  • locking-wheel-nut key
  • safe photographs of the tyre, wheel and vehicle position
  • passenger needs
  • destination and urgency.

Do not leave a safe position or stand close to live traffic to take photographs.

Vehicle and wheel details prepared for a mobile tyre-service request

HOW IT WORKS

1 You send the location and problem

State where the vehicle is, direction of travel, tyre size and spare-wheel status.

2 Safety and vehicle details are clarified

The road type, position, access, make, model, wheel, tyre and available equipment are checked.

3 The suitable response is selected

This may involve inflation, spare-wheel fitting, wheel removal, puncture assessment, permitted repair, wheel transport or vehicle recovery.

4 The provider attends

Work is carried out only where conditions are safe, and the provider explains whether the solution is temporary or permanent.

5 You check and continue safely

Pressure and wheel installation are checked, followed by guidance on speed, workshop repair, replacement, balancing or TPMS.

SERVICE LOCATIONS

At home

Seasonal wheel changes, complete-wheel fitting, pressure checks, inflation, valves, TPMS and other work can be arranged according to mobile equipment.

At the office or in a car park

Access permission, stable ground, space and a safe working area are required.

At the roadside

Work is possible only where the vehicle is legally and safely positioned. On motorways or high-speed roads, relocation or recovery can be required where roadside working would expose people to traffic.

At a workshop

Internal tyre repair, balancing, wheel straightening, difficult removal and specialist tyre types may require fixed workshop equipment.

Inflating a tyre with a mobile compressor

POSSIBLE SERVICES

Tyre inflation

This can help where pressure is low and the tyre does not show serious damage. Pressure should follow the vehicle manufacturer's cold-pressure recommendation for the tyre size and load, not one universal number.

Spare-wheel fitting

The spare's compatibility, condition, pressure, attachment and operating limits should be checked. A temporary spare is not equivalent to a normal road wheel.

Wheel changing

The process can include correct lifting, wheel removal, checking the mounting surface, installation and controlled tightening. Lifting points vary between models.

Puncture assessment and repair

Repairability depends on puncture position, size, angle, underinflated driving, casing condition and technical guidance. Permanent repair can require removal and internal inspection.

Valve and slow leaks

Loss can come from a valve, valve core, bead, wheel, foreign object, crack or TPMS component. Inflation alone does not repair the cause.

Seasonal changes

This can be arranged at home for complete wheel sets or, where the mobile unit has appropriate equipment, tyre removal and fitting. Balancing is confirmed separately.

Wheel rotation

Rotation is performed only where tyre type, direction, dimensions and vehicle configuration allow it.

Balancing

Some mobile units carry balancing equipment; otherwise a workshop is required.

NAIL, SCREW OR FOREIGN-OBJECT PUNCTURES

Where a tyre still holds air, removing the object before assessment can accelerate air loss.

The provider considers:

  • puncture location
  • size and angle
  • tread condition
  • evidence of running underinflated
  • internal condition where required
  • age and deterioration
  • previous repairs
  • bead and wheel condition.

An external repair can be temporary. A permanent repair may require tyre removal and internal inspection.

WHEN ON-SITE REPAIR MAY NOT BE SAFE

Replacement or workshop inspection can be required for:

  • sidewall cuts
  • bulges
  • exposed cords
  • shoulder damage
  • large tears or punctures
  • bead damage
  • bent wheels
  • tyre separation
  • prolonged driving with no pressure
  • clustered previous repairs
  • severe ageing
  • impact damage.

Sidewall repair and universal repairability are not promised.

SPARE WHEELS AND SEALANT KITS

Full-size spare

It should be checked periodically, including pressure. It can be unusable if underinflated, damaged or incompatible.

Temporary spare

Follow the restrictions marked on the wheel and the vehicle manufacturer's instructions. It is designed for limited use until proper repair.

Compressor and sealant kit

This is a temporary measure and may not work for cuts, sidewall damage, bead damage or large holes. Sealant can affect cleaning and TPMS service.

Vehicles without a spare

Possible responses include inflation, puncture assessment, tyre or wheel transport, a replacement tyre or vehicle recovery.

Installing a spare wheel at the vehicle location

TYRE PRESSURE

Use the vehicle manufacturer's recommended cold pressure for the relevant load and tyre size rather than one universal number.

Low pressure can increase heat, wear and energy use. Excessive pressure can affect ride, grip and wear.

After inflation or puncture work, pressure and the source of the leak should be checked again.

Checking tyre pressure and the valve

TPMS AND VALVES

A TPMS warning can result from low pressure, a puncture, sensor failure, internal battery, valve fault, a wheel change or a required relearn procedure.

The tyre provider can assess the tyre, valve and pressure. For control-module diagnostics see Mobile Car Diagnostics. For electrical supply and wiring faults see Mobile Auto Electrician.

Checking a tyre valve and TPMS sensor

WHEEL BOLTS AND LOCKING KEYS

State whether locking bolts are fitted and send a photograph of the key.

Possible complications include seized bolts, damaged threads, missing locking key, broken adaptor, overtightening, corrosion and broken studs.

Universal locking-bolt removal at the roadside is not promised.

RUN-FLAT TYRES, LARGE WHEELS AND HEAVY VEHICLES

Run-flat tyres can allow limited driving only under the vehicle and tyre manufacturer's conditions. Not every run-flat can be repaired.

Large wheels, low-profile tyres, SUVs and heavier vehicles can require specialist jacks, tyre machines and adapters.

Confirm:

  • tyre size
  • load index
  • run-flat or standard construction
  • wheel type
  • vehicle weight
  • spacers
  • lowered suspension
  • oversized brakes.

ANY MAKE AND MODEL

We receive requests for any make and model of passenger car, SUV or light commercial vehicle, including European, Romanian, American, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, hybrid, electric, classic and individually imported vehicles.

For tyre work, the most important details are tyre size, wheel type, lifting points, fasteners, locking key, TPMS, spare-wheel availability, vehicle weight and ground clearance.

Examples include Dacia, Renault, Volkswagen, Škoda, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Opel, Ford, Peugeot, Citroën, Fiat, Volvo, Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Nissan, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Kia, Suzuki, Jeep, Chevrolet, Dodge, Tesla, BYD, MG and other makes in the Romanian vehicle park.

Listing a make does not guarantee that every mobile unit carries the required jack, adapter, tyre or equipment for every configuration.

SEASONAL CHANGES AT HOME

Requests can cover:

  • changing complete wheel sets
  • tyre removal and fitting where the mobile unit is equipped
  • pressure checks
  • wear inspection
  • valves and TPMS
  • balancing where available
  • storage or transport where agreed.

Romanian winter-tyre requirements relate to roads covered with snow, ice or black ice rather than an invented fixed calendar date.

MOTORWAY AND HIGH-SPEED ROAD SAFETY

The emergency lane is for justified emergency stopping. A puncture can justify stopping, but the location remains dangerous.

  • use hazard warning lights
  • move as far away from live traffic as safely possible
  • comply with current rules for reflective equipment and warning triangles
  • do not remain exposed beside the carriageway
  • do not attempt a wheel change where work would take place close to an active lane
  • follow police, road-operator and emergency-service instructions
  • call 112 where there is immediate danger
  • recovery to a safer location can be required.

The provider can refuse to work in the initial position.

LIGHT COMMERCIAL VEHICLES AND FLEETS

Requests can be accepted for light commercial vehicles and fleets after confirming weight, wheel size, load, access, equipment, number of vehicles, schedule and whether work takes place mobile or at a base.

Heavy trucks and buses require dedicated equipment and providers.
