Personal driver in Bucharest, Ilfov and Romania

You may request a personal driver for a one-day tour or a multi-day route through Romania. The service can be organised using the client’s car or a vehicle legally supplied by the provider.

The itinerary may include one or more destinations, sightseeing stops, waiting time and return to the agreed location. Requests may cover routes to the Prahova Valley, Brasov, Transfagarasan, Sibiu, Sighisoara, Bucovina, Maramures, the Black Sea coast or other areas, depending on the season, road conditions and chosen programme.

The driver operates the vehicle and follows the agreed route. The service does not automatically include a licensed tour guide, a package holiday, hotel bookings or admission tickets. These are arranged separately by the client or only when separately confirmed through suitable authorised providers.

For multi-day tours, the indicative schedule, reasonable driving limits, driver accommodation, meals or allowance, road tolls, parking and possible itinerary changes should be agreed in advance.

You may request only the relocation of the vehicle, without the owner travelling in it. A driver can collect a car at one location and drive it to another address, subject to documents, roadworthiness and the agreed conditions.

Examples include:

• collecting a car purchased in another city;
• delivering the vehicle to a relative or employee;
• moving a car between home, office, airport or parking location;
• bringing the vehicle back after a trip;
• delivering a car to or collecting it from a dealer;
• collecting or delivering it in another city;
• temporary relocation of a car in Romania or abroad.

Before collection, it is advisable to record the mileage, fuel level, visible condition, documents and items left in the vehicle. International journeys may require a written authorisation and additional documents.

When the main purpose is a service appointment, ITP inspection, tyre shop, detailing or the coordination of several car-related errands, the request is better suited to the car concierge service.

This page is dedicated to drivers for passenger cars. It does not cover requests for trucks, coaches, buses, motorcycles, tractors, machinery, heavy vehicle combinations or vehicles requiring other professional licence categories.

The request must involve a passenger car that can be legally and safely driven. The client should provide the make, model, transmission and any important characteristics.

There is no single price for every request. Cost depends on:

• using the client’s car or the provider’s vehicle;
• the class of the supplied car;
• distance and duration;
• number of hours or days;
• daytime, overnight, weekend or public holiday schedule;
• waiting time;
• national or international travel;
• fuel, tolls, vignettes, bridges and parking;
• accommodation, meals or allowance for multi-day projects;
• the need for a second driver;
• route changes or schedule extensions.

Prestari Servicii receives and clarifies the request and then connects the client with a driver or provider. All costs, payment arrangements and specific conditions must be discussed and confirmed directly with the provider before the service starts. Do not assume that a certain vehicle type, rate or time window is included until it has been clearly confirmed.

The vehicle must be legally permitted on the road and in a condition that allows safe travel. The client should provide the necessary documents, right of use, valid technical inspection and applicable insurance, as well as fuel or electric charge unless otherwise agreed.

The driver may refuse to operate a vehicle with obvious defects, unsuitable tyres, missing documents, unsafe loading or other issues that may endanger people or traffic.

A car that does not start, cannot legally be driven or has a defect that makes driving unsafe requires a recovery vehicle or roadside assistance, not a personal driver.

Routes must be planned realistically. Long journeys, especially at night or abroad, require appropriate breaks and sufficient rest. No request should be organised in a way that encourages speeding, driving without rest or breaking traffic rules.

The driver cannot accept illegal goods, more passengers than legally permitted, an unsuitable vehicle or any other request that conflicts with the law or road safety.

The service cannot guarantee arrival at an impossible time and cannot eliminate delays caused by traffic, weather, border checks, road closures or other objective circumstances.
